Partners with Touro University in biomedical research and education
The McLaughlin Research Institute is partnering with TouroCOM Montana in research opportunities for medical students and faculty. As noted in a press release:
“Touro University has just completed a 100,000-square-foot state-of-the-art medical school campus which will house multiple classrooms, an anatomy lab and simulation center. The first class will being in July 2023.
“We are thrilled to bring Touro University’s educational programming to Great Falls. With the dedication of our TouroCOM Montana Dean Elizabeth Palmarozzi and her colleagues in New York, and the support of local leaders, we look forward to training excellent healthcare providers and offering much-needed medical care to this community,” said Dr. Kadish, President of Touro University.
TouroCOM currently operates similar medical school campuses in Harlem, New York and Middletown, New York, which each graduate approximately 135 new physicians each year.”
Touro University and the McLaughlin Research Institute have launched the state of Montana’s only Medical Science Training Program (MSTP) that will be available for Touro University - Montana medical students. The students will do their MSTP research work at the McLaughlin Research Institute in biomedical and rural health research.

They facilitate complementary approaches to integrated biomedical and rural health research that spans the basic, translational and clinical aspects of diseases that include Alzheimer’s and other dementias, Parkinson’s, macular degeneration, ALS, and more.
